Scuffing?

So, has Rogers been cheating in all his postseason starts?

We are talking about a guy who, until this season, was a choker in big games.

Kenny Rogers is an idiot. I've never really liked him. But the Game Two incident illustrates how impossible it is to prove anything one way or the other. He wiped off the "substance" in the first inning and went on to pitch dominantly for the next seven. I'm inclined to believe him when he says it was just dirt - probably clay from the mound that pitchers like to use to get a better grip on the ball. Nothing illegal about that.

Besides, I'm sure LaRussa knows a thing or two about "substance" abuse.

I can't believe they let Kenny Rogers pitch at all. The guy is washed up and hasn't done crap since he sang "Islands in the Stream" with Dolly Parton. Actually, Dolly made him what he is today: and old man with a white beard, white hair, and white chest hair. Oh well...

Ha ha ha ha...good one Donny. I was wondering when the Gambler reference was going to appear.

Now that song's stuck in my head.
